Forest Therapy Walks

We slow down to gain momentum that brings calmness,
vitality, clarity, and joy to our lives.

Akin to Forest Bathing, also know as Shrinrin Yoku, Forest Therapy, for many, is the long-lost art of remembering our sacred relationship to the earth. It is by slowing down, and mindfully noticing, as we sit or meander through, even a small piece of land, that we can reawaken this ancient bond that lives deep within all of us. Here in this awakening, we are able to reap the many benefits of improved overall well-being, not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually as well.
Forest Therapy Walks

In a guided Forest Therapy walk, there is no rush or hurry. As your guide, I will offer you a series of mindful invitations to support you in deepening your relationship with your personal inner landscape, as well as nature and your community. With curiosity, we will dig deep down into the layers of the realization that we are the earth and the earth is us. It can offer a remembering for many who sense a longing for a missing part of themselves. Many note that these walks are a healing experience, not just for ourselves, but for the earth as well.

These walks usually take between 1 — 1/2- 2 hours and are short in length ranging usually 1/2 to 1 mile. They take places in venues such as, Forests, Nature Preserves, Arboretum-type grounds, parks, and more. Because they are slow and deliberate, they are suitable for almost everyone. We end these walks with a small ceremony of gratitude for the earth and for our experience.
